Summary:

I think this is a well written book on solutions for IBS, it's logical, insightful and written in an uplifting way. Hopefully it will help some people with their symptoms.

Irritable Bowel Solutions – The Essential Guide to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Its Causes and Treatment, is a book about IBS as you would have guessed, and the solutions to it.

The rate of diagnosis for IBS has increased a lot in recent years, people with abdominal pain and altered bowel habits with no concrete cause to explain it. It often doesn’t help much to be diagnosed with IBS, as it’s not really a proper diagnosis, it’s merely something doctors fall to when they can’t find an exact diagnosis for your symptoms. Often you are diagnosed as if it’s a good thing, that nothing serious is wrong with you. Which makes no sense because your symptoms don’t change just because it’s not something else.

The symptoms of IBS vary greatly, and this book does a good job of narrowing down what group of symptoms you are experiencing. It then proposes solutions based on your symptoms, and explains fairly well what might be happening.

It’s quite a short book, especially considering, you are to skip chapters based on what symptoms you have, so you might only read 3-4 chapters from the whole book.

Nevertheless the solutions proposed seem sensible and provide some hope to those suffering, as this condition has hardly been researched because it isn’t linked with any immediate death.

I think this is a well written book on solutions for IBS, it's logical, insightful and written in an uplifting way. Hopefully it will help some people with their symptoms.
