PC Specialist is a website that deals with selling configured PCs, laptops, servers and tablets. I’ve bought 3 customized computers from PC Specialist, and I’ve been very happy with the service and products I’ve received. You can either pick from their preset computer builds, or build your computer to your own choices from their range of parts. The ordering system is very well done, and it will tell you any problems with the configuration you’ve chosen from outset, such as needing a better PSU or the part not being compatible with that motherboard.
Another point is that the pricing of everything on PC Specialist is very good considering they build the PC for you, even buying the parts yourself and building it you won’t be able to do it much cheaper than PC Specialist. Whilst their build times might be a bit long, it’s well worth the wait to have a full configured computer with high quality parts. If you buy computers from catalog companies or even specialist electronic retailers, a lot of the time they essentially con you by including some very cheap low quality hardware parts, companies obviously do this for the people not in the know for PC parts so that they can maximize profits on selling preset system configs, you won’t find this trouble at PC Specialist, everything is pretty transparent and you get the quality you pay for.
They also provide a decent finance deal through Hitachi if you can get accepted, 12 months interest free if you pay it off before 12 months ends. Which is pretty decent considering that you can get a
£1000 PC and only have to pay a 10% deposit and then £75 a month, that kind of quality PC will last you at least 4 years being essentially top-mid range.
In terms of the range of options, PC Specialist has a lot on offer, you can pretty much get any type of specification you need. Whilst you can’t specifically select the exact models of products you might want, there’s a good enough selection that you can get close to your ideal configuration with their choices.
Whilst your specially configured computer is being built, they have a good system for keeping you up to date with how the process is going, they also provide free standard insured delivery for your computer, which comes by DPD courier. If you have any problems with your order, their customer service is very quick to respond and easy to get hold of, there’s no doubt they’ll try their best to get a solution for your problem, and they are experienced with the common problems of setting up new PCs. Possible faulty parts are rare because they do a rigorous test of the system before they send it out.
Overall I’d definitely recommend buying a new computer from PC Specialist over the major electronic retailers or building the computer yourself, both the quality of the product they provide and the quality of their service is a high standard.
